After passing the bar, Mark practiced law at large litigation firms in both Dallas, TX and Washington, D.C. before returning to the Tri-Cities to open his own firm, The Law Offices of Mark T. Hurt.
That firm has now grown to several locations in both Virginia and Tennessee over the past 25 years. Mark will aggressively represent clients in a variety of legal issues, including traffic tickets, CDL violations, reckless driving, speeding, car and vehicle accidents, personal injury, wrongful death, workers’ compensation, Social Security disability, whistleblowing, traffic tickets, CDL representation, reckless driving, speeding, and estate planning.
Mark has built a solid reputation in Tri-Cities legal circles as a skilled negotiator, having reached settlements for clients ranging from minor personal injury cases for thousands of dollars all the way up to multi-million dollar settlements for major cases. He is relentless in his pursuit of seeking full compensation for victims in personal injury litigation cases. In business and other legal matters, he is known for developing cost-effective solutions that are consistent with each client’s objectives.
He is also a well-respected litigator, with extensive experience trying cases in front of juries, as well as arguing appeals in Virginia, Tennessee, and federal courts. Mark has also twice argued cases before the United States Supreme Court.
